Bistro Marie

Bistro Marie is now 2 years old and has become known for its quality home-cooked meals with lots of fresh vegetables, friendly regulars, and decent house wines as well as premium wine.
The bistro was set up in mind for everyone to enjoy, whether it’s a coffee and a bacon sandwich, a glass of wine and a cheeseboard, or a three-course meal.
At Bistro Marie, we change the menu seasonally, and our autumn/winter menu is known for the award-winning handmade pies and steak and kidney puddings we serve, as well as the other hearty homemade meals we prepare. The spring/summer menu consists of lighter meals, including Caesar Salads, ploughman’s lunch, and our popular mussels in garlic, served with crusty bread, to name a few.
Our grazing platters, charcuterie, and cheeseboards are available all year round. 
Hot food is also available all year round, and we ask our guests to request this when booking out of A/W months, please.
Private parties are available at Bistro Marie, ideal for small gatherings and exclusively.  Hot food can be arranged, a hot and cold buffet, or even a grazing table. Outside catering can also be arranged.
In the nicer weather, we have an outside area, which means your private party can hold more of your guests.
We open on a Sunday for private parties or a group booking of 6+ for Sunday lunch or the food of your choice.

Welcome to Bistro Marie, a warm and inviting bistro wine bar lovingly named after my wonderful mum Marie. After many years working in commercial restaurants, Julie felt it was time to put her experience and ethusiasm into her own little place, and when Bistro Marie was established, Julie wanted to create a space for all to enjoy, whether its for a light lunch, sharing a bottle of wine and a cheeseboard, or a three course home made meal.
